After spending 30 years as a Diamond/Gemstone buyer & award winning Jewelry Designer, a long time Real Estate Developer and more recently an Artisan Chocolatier , Melanie Boudar brings her creative talents and business development/marketing skills to Mahana Homes. Melanie currently owns and operates a successful Bed and Breakfast on the Big Island of Hawaii. She has partnered with Peter Fluker to bring the Mahana Homes concept to fruition.

From her home base in Hawaii, Melanie works with prospective clients to assess their building site and customize their home plans before the materials and furnishings are shipped from British Columbia. Melanie fully understands the unique challenges of island building and as a result she and Peter have developed a home concept that streamlines the entire design & building process from small vacation cottages to larger family homes.

Their latest Hawaii collaboration, "At the Craters Edge" is a contemporary timber frame home nestled into a rainforest setting of giant tree ferns and brilliant tropical flowers . The home features expansive window walls that open to capture the forest views, a gourmet entertaining kitchen/ living area and wrap around cedar decks for island living.
